Guilty Gear XX
Guilty Gear XX Slash is the 2005 update to Arc System Works' XX line, the second major rebalance after Reload and a key bridge before Accent Core. Released for arcades and PlayStation 2, it overhauls move properties across the cast, hands out fresh tools to mid-tier fighters, and tightens the airdash-heavy neutral that defines the XX era.
A.B.A makes her main-series debut after appearing in Isuka, dragging a giant key around as her partner Paracelsus and rewriting her own kit through blood mode. Order-Sol arrives as a stance-shifting alternate take on Sol Badguy with a totally separate moveset built around charging Action Levels. For Guilty Gear lifers chasing the cleanest snapshot of mid-decade Slash-era combos, this is the version to study.
