Tekken 2 is Namco's 1996 PlayStation port of the arcade hit that cemented 3D fighting games as a console staple. The console release fattens the original lineup with hidden bosses, sub-bosses and alternate Mishimas, plus modes that reward grinding through the arcade ladder over and over.

Kazuya Mishima takes the throne after defeating his father Heihachi, and the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 pulls in Jun Kazama, Lei Wulong, Bruce Irvin, Baek Doo San and the rest of the second-generation cast. Ten-hit combos, multi-tier juggles and parries lay the groundwork for everything Tekken would become. It launched on PlayStation, later resurfaced on PS3 and PSP via Classics, and it still plays sharp decades on.
