Capcom vs. SNK 2
Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 is the sixth entry in Capcom's VS. Series and the high point of the Capcom-versus-SNK crossovers. Released on Sega NAOMI arcade hardware in 2001, it pulls 48 fighters from Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Final Fight, King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Samurai Shodown, and Last Blade into one 3-on-3 ratio battle.
The Groove system is the centerpiece. Pick from six grooves, C, A, P, S, N, K, each emulating a different Capcom or SNK meter style with its own super, parry, dash, and roll setup. The Dreamcast got a Japan-only home port, with PS2 and PS3 reissues following, and an updated Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO landing on GameCube and Xbox. Two decades later, it still holds up as the smartest crossover fighter ever shipped.
