Street Fighter EX3
Street Fighter EX3 is the 2000 PlayStation 2 launch-window fighter from Arika, and it caps the EX line by bolting tag-team mechanics onto the system EX2 Plus refined. You build a squad, swap partners on the fly, and chain assists into the Excel and Meteor Combo flow the previous game established. Hard-hitting 3D-modeled fighters, 2D-plane combat, and the kind of long combos the EX engine was built to support.
Returning Capcom faces like Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Zangief, Sakura, and Guile share the roster with Arika originals such as Skullomania, Doctrine Dark, and Sagat-rival Garuda. Single-player runs through arcade and team-battle ladders, and a second player can drop in for tag matches. As the PS2's first Street Fighter game, EX3 was many players' introduction to next-gen fighting visuals, and it remains the only mainline Street Fighter title built around full tag combat.
