Samurai Shodown VI
Samurai Shodown VI is Yuki Enterprise's 2005 love letter to the entire weapon-fighter saga, pulling every character SNK released across Samurai Shodown 1 through 5 into a single arcade and PS2 lineup. The roster crosses 60 fighters deep, which is staggering for a 2D fighting game built on the Atomiswave board, and each one keeps their original moveset feel.
Gameplay sits on a Spirit Gauge system with four selectable styles, so you can pick a defensive Bust mode, an aggressive Slash setup, or hybrid options that change rage mechanics and combo routes. The CD combo runs strikes off a paired button press, the dodge brings semi-3D defense back into play, and a Mortal Kombat style fatality finishes certain bouts in one cut. Aerial blocking and the off-screen delivery man are gone, which keeps duels grounded and tense.
